Treatment Clinics are a key part of the referral network to support primary care services general practice, moving many of these specialised services closer to the community and out of acute hospitals. The equipment and clinical services are typically very focused, accepting patients only with a referral for further diagnosis or treatment. In some cases, these centres also act for acute hospitals as part of the outpatient treatment services, also independent hospitals are key for NHS patients needed urgent surgery and also private patients for elective procedures.
