Managing the risks relating to infections in both health & social care is a high priority for all Health & Social Care providers.

Compliance with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 requires compliance with a range of fundamental standards (previously essential standards) which will be reviewed during the revised CQC inspection process in 2015.

These new Key Lines of Enquiry that directly relate to ve key questions encompassing these fundamental standards will be used during inspection.

Included in the question relating to the provision of safe care protecting people from avoidable harm is the requirement to assess the risk of, and prevent,detect and control the spread of infections inc. those that are associated with health care.

Our RCN accredited Infection Prevention & Control Link Practitioner/ Champion Courses running in 2015 reects all new guidance/ legislation along with the revised CQC inspection processes. This RCN accredited course provides delegates with a comprehensive introduction to managing IPC risks in Primary Medical Care Providers General Practice; Out of Hours; Urgent & Walk-In Centres.

This course is accredited by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and carries 12 CPD study hours.
