This intensive study day is intended for Practice Managers, Practice Nurses and Advanced Nurse Practitioners who have received previous IPC training and have an understanding of key IPC issues in primary care. The day is intended to provide opportunities for discussion, debate and appraisal of the challenges of achieving compliance with revised fundamental standards and specically the Code of Practice for the prevention and control of infections.
The day will provide plenty of opportunities for sharing experiences of developing relationships with local commissioners (CCGs) and local area teams (NHS England) as well as local authority providers (Directors of Public Health) and the specialists at Public Health England (previously Health Protection Agency).
Many dierent service models are evolving but the problems relating to IP & C remain the same. How are you tackling them in your practice? What are the challenges you are facing in providing assurance to commissioners and inspectors? How much support are you being given in tackling these challenges and delivering safe, evidence-based care?
A FREE web self-audit of IPC key standards (10 in total covering environmental and clinical practice issues) will be provided to delegates enrolling on this study day. All instructions for completion will be provided. Delegates will be expected to undertake the audit prior to the study day and bring their results and action plans for discussion during the afternoon sessions.
